BBC Two has unveiled a new trailer for the adaptation of Ronald Harwood’s The Dresser, starring Anthony Hopkins and Ian McKellen.

Adapted and directed by Richard Ayre, The Dresser is the revered British play that tells the story of one fateful night in a small regional theatre during World War Two as a troupe of touring actors stage a production of Shakespeare’s King Lear.

The cast also features: Emily Watson, Sarah Lancashire, Vanessa Kirby, Edward Fox, Tom Brooke, John Ashton, Ian Conningham, Annalisa Rossi, Helen Bradbury, Carl Sanderson, Matthew Cottle and Martin Chamberlain.

The Dresser airs on BBC Two, Saturday 31st October at 9pm.
