A new trailer for upcoming BBC one drama River has been released starring Stellan Skarsgård and Nicola Walker.

Skarsgård stars as John River, a brilliant police officer whose genius and fault-line is the fragility of his mind; A man caught between the living and the dead as he struggles to come to terms with the recent loss of his colleague and close confidant Detective Sergeant Jackie ‘Stevie’ Stevenson (Walker).

Adeel Akhtar, Lesley Manville and Eddie Marsan also star in the six-part drama.

River begins Tuesday 13th October at 9pm on BBC One.
