A new teaser trailer for the upcoming six-episode series of The X-Files shows new footage of Mulder and Scully investigating a new case.
Thirteen years after the original series ended, creator/executive producer Chris Carter is bringing back the iconic sci-fi series starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.
Community actor Joel McHale joins The X-Files
The trailer begins with a 30-second recap of the original series before it changes to show a present-day Mulder and Scully searching a dark room. Fans will be thrilled to hear Mulder tell Scully: “I believe that what we’re looking for is in the X-Files,” adding “I’m more certain than ever that the truth is in there.”
To which Scully replies “I’ve heard the truth Mulder. Now what I want are the answers.”
The X-Files is currently filming and will air on Fox in the US Sunday, 24th January 2016.
