‘The Shadow Line’ writer returns with new drama

Acclaimed writer, director and producer Hugo Blick is writing a new signature drama for BBC Two, the channel has confirmed.

The writer is best known for 2014’s award-winning The Honourable Woman which starred Golden Globe winning actress Maggie Gyllenhaal; 2011’s BAFTA-winning The Shadow Line starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Sensitive Skin starring Joanna Lumley.

The new drama will be set in Africa, further details are being kept under wraps but will follow “a compelling set of characters caught up in a very human moral dilemma.”
