Judgement Day for Dot

Charged with the of murder of her son, Nick Cotton, during February’s live anniversary week, EastEnders’ Dot Branning’s trial begins next month, with the BBC announcing the guest stars who will be overseeing the court proceedings.

EastEnders will be welcoming star of the stage and screen William Gaunt (Sergeant Cork, No Place Like Home) who will be playing Judge St John Redmond in Dot’s trial.

Fighting Dot’s corner will be Adrian Quinlan, played by Ben Turner (Casualty). Ritchie Scott, played by Sian Webber, will also return as Phil’s long-running brief after he seeks her help in freeing Dot.

On the prosecution will be Helen Stritch played by Jaye Griffiths (Bugs, Silent Witness). Eugene Washington will also star as the clerk of the court.

Viewers will see Dot’s court case air on BBC One from Friday 8th May.
