New image for C4 sci-fi drama

Channel 4/AMC has released another image from new 8-part drama Humans, showing a first-look at William Hurt (A History of Violence, Damages) as Dr George Millican.

George Millican is a widower who has formed a close relationship with his out-of-date synth Odi, who he treats more like a son than a piece of machinery

The series is set in a parallel present, where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ – a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart. In the hope of transforming the way they live, one strained suburban family purchases a refurbished synth only to discover that sharing life with a machine has far-reaching and chilling consequences.

The series also stars Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front, Neil Maskell and Gemma Chan.

Humans is made by Kudos (Utopia, Broadchurch) in association with Matador Films (Real Humans) for broadcast on Channel 4 and AMC in 2015
