Sky 1 comedy ‘Stella’ renewed for fourth series

Award-winning comedy set for 2015 return

Ruth Jones Sky 1 comedy, Stella has been recommissioned for a fourth, 10-part series.

The award-winning series created by and starring Ruth Jones – which is currently transmitting on Friday nights – is a heartwarming family saga, set in the Welsh valleys and Sky 1’s most watched comedy to date.

Lucy Lumsden, Head of Comedy, Sky Entertainment commented: “Stella’s continued success has been a massive part of comedy’s journey on Sky 1 HD. With its Welsh warmth and wit, we are delighted to bring back the fourth series for our customers.”

The comedy-drama is made by Tidy Productions and Executive Producers are David Peet and Ruth Jones for Tidy Productions, and Jon Mountague for Sky. Producer is Spencer Campbell.

The Stella Christmas special will commence filming in March. Series 4 will go into production later this year for transmission on Sky 1 in early 2015.
