The BBC has released two new pictures of US actress Maggie Gyllenhaal in Hugo Brick’s new BBC Two thriller, ‘The Honourable Woman‘.

Gyllenhaal plays Nessa Stein in the new, fast paced, labyrinth thriller set against an international political backdrop of paranoia and espionage.

The drama, written and directed by BAFTA award-winning Hugo Blick (The Shadow Line) was filmed in the summer of 2013 in the Middle East and America.

When her casting was announced Gyllenhaal said: “I couldn’t put the scripts down. Nessa is such an exciting and intricate character.”

The Honourable Woman will air on BBC Two in 2014.
