Check out the first pictures from the new Sky Atlantic HD and CANAL + crime drama, The Tunnel, starring Stephen Dillane (Game Of Thrones) and Clémence Poésy (Birdsong).

Based on the Danish / Swedish collaboration The Bridge, and featuring an Anglo-French cast, the series will see Dillane and Poésy play detectives Karl Roebuck and Elise Wassermann sent to investigate on behalf of their respective countries when a prominent French politician is found dead on the border between the UK and France. However, the case takes a surreal turn when a shocking discovery is made at the crime scene, forcing the French and British police into an uneasy partnership.

Joseph Mawle, Tom Bateman, Keeley Hawes and Liz Smith join the cast from episode two.

Tobi Bakare, Jeanne Balibar, Thibault de Montalembert, Mathieu Carrièrre, Angel Coulby, Jack Lowden will also star.

The Tunnel airs on Sky Atlantic this Autumn.
