US network Fox has ordered a pilot adaptation of Sharon Horgan and Holly Walsh‘s BBC Three prison comedy, Dead Boss.

The five-episode BBC Three series centred on Horgan’s character trying to prove her innocence after being falsely accused, convicted and imprisoned of killing her boss.

Deadline reports the US series is a put – pilot (meaning the network pays a fee if the episode is not shown) written and executive produced by Warner Bros TV’s Patricia Breen (Suburgatory) along with Sharon Horgan and Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment.

This marks the latest collaboration for Kaplan and Horgan, who have had three half-hour projects go to pilot at ABC including: Bad Mom, Bad Management and Pulling — also based on a Horgan British series.
