The Politician’s Husband is written by Paula Milne and directed by Simon Cellan-Jones, and stars David Tennant and Emily Watson in a three-part series for BBC Two – a companion piece to the multi-award-winning The Politician’s Wife.
Aiden Hoynes and Freya Gardner are the golden couple of British politics. Aiden resigns from cabinet in a failed leadership bid thwarted by his best friend Bruce Babbish. In the cabinet reshuffle Freya is appointed to Cabinet, while Aiden returns to the back benches and a life of political obscurity. Finally out of her husband’s shadow, Freya is forced to choose between her own career ambitions and publicly supporting her husband.
The Politician’s Husband airs on BBC Two, tomorrow [25 April] at 9pm.

This looks very promising…with a strong cast including the wonderful Roger Allam who does an amazing job in every genre!
