BBC Three cancels Lip Service!

Harriet Braun, creator of lesbian drama Lip Service has revealed on twitter the show has been axed by BBC Three.

Braun said: “Sadly BBC Three have confirmed there won’t be a 3rd series of Lip Service. A huge, huge thank you to all the fans for all your support xx.”

Starring Ruta Gedmintas, Fiona Button and Heather Peace, and Fiona Button the series began in 2010 and was set and filmed in Glasgow by production company Kudos Film & Television. The series initially attracted viewers in series one, but lost a third of its audience by series two.

When a fan asked if the BBC gave a reason for the cancellation, she answered:” No they didn’t.” Adding it’s a “Sad day. Thanks for all your support.”
