Actor confirms casting on twitter

It’s been rumoured for a while; but former Skins star Sebastian De Souza has now confirmed on twitter his casting in season three of Showtime’s The Borgias.

News of his role first emerged on his management agency’s website Waring & McKenna.

The actor who played Matty in  E4’s Skins told his followers: “Forgive the absence. Back briefly and then, in a flash, onto Budapest for quite some time for @SHO_Borgias Season 3”

The series focuses on the Borgia family, an Italian dynasty of Spanish origin headed up by Jeremy Irons.

De Souza’a role in the ten-episode upcoming third season is listed as “Alfonso of Aragon.”

He will join the existing cast of Jeremy Irons, François Arnaud, Holliday Grainger, Joanne Whalley, Lotte Verbeek, David Oakes and Colm Feore.

‘The Borgias’ Season 3 is set to premiere in 2013.
