The First Photo of BBC America’s new drama Copper starring Spooks star Tom-Weston Jones has been released along with a US premiere date.

Copper, is a crime drama set in 1860s New York, starring Tom Weston-Jones as the lead character; a rugged Irish-American cop working the city’s notorious Five Points neighbourhood.

The drama is from Emmy-winner Tom Fontana, Academy Award-nominee Will Rokos (Monster’s Ball), Academy Award-winner Barry Levinson (Homicide), Glen Salzman (Cineflix Studios president) and Christina Wayne (a former AMC executive for Mad Men).

EW reports, BBC America and Cineflix Studios, will premiere “Copper” August 19 at 9pm.

  1. BBC America is really coming out wiht some great original shows!  This one sounds like anohter winner.  Wish we didn’t have wait until August, especially when its got such a great cast Kyle Schmid, and Kevin Ryan.

  2. Looking forward to this when it airs on Showcase in Canada. Will be great to see Kyle Schmid on our screens again (for the second time this year 🙂

  3. 3 month… too long! LoL OK srsly I’m realy looking forward to seing this one, mostly coz of Kyle Schmid being on there – he is outstanding whenever it comes to playing period role (just like any other role, for that matter).

  4. Can’t wait to see this.  I love period pieces and am familiar with Kyle Schmid’s work. This will be a great role for him.
